  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

    Directions

    1. Dissolve yeast and honey in 1/4 cup warm water and set aside until yeast foams.
    2. Place both flours in a large bowl. Add yeast mixture and remaining water. Stir to combine.
    3. Turn dough out onto a floured board and knead. Place dough in an oiled bowl, turning so the top is lightly covered with oil. Cover with towel. Let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour. Bake until lightly brown, 350 degrees.
