  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 onion (medium, chopped)
  • 1 green bell pepper (medium, chopped)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 15 ounces kidney beans (no salt added, rinsed and drained)
  • 14 1/2 ounces no-salt-added diced tomatoes
  • 1 package knorr rice sides - rice pilaf

    Directions

    1. SEASON ground beef with salt and pepper if desired. Heat large deep nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and cook ground beef, onion and green pepper until beef is browned, about 5 minutes.
    2. STIR in chili powder and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 30 seconds, Add water, beans and tomatoes and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
    3. STIR in Knorr® Rice Sides™ - Rice Pilaf; reduce heat and simmer covered, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender, about 7 minutes. Serve, if desired, with shredded Monterey Jack, Pepper Jack or Mexican blend cheese and corn bread.
