As their name suggests, these potatoes are first baked until tender, then hollowed out and stuffed with a rich and creamy mash of the potato flesh with butter, sour cream, and garlic. Finally, they're topped with cheddar cheese and baked again. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.


  • 4 russet potatoes (large)
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup milk (or half and half, plus more as needed)
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 3 oz. shredded cheddar cheese (3 oz. is about 3/4 cup)
  • paprika (for serving)

    Turned out great! I also added cheese into the potatoes and I oiled the skins in the beginning with an oil, salt and garlic mixture.

    One word... WOW!!! These are so good!! And pretty easy, yes they do take a while, but they are delicious! This is my second time making, and I added a little bacon bits and that put it over the top!! Definitely should try!
