    Directions

    1. For the Beans: Heat a large frying pan with the olive oil; add the onions, garlic and hot pepper.
    2. Sauté on medium heat until the onions are softened and the garlic is fragrant.
    3. Add the crushed tomatoes, beans, cilantro or parsley and the seasonings and continue to simmer on low while preparing the rest of the meal.
