  • 115 grams smoked mackerel (or trout)
  • 20 grams Flora pro.activ spread (¾oz)
  • 2 tablespoons natural yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon horseradish sauce
  • lemon juice (Squeeze of)
  • 3 drops Tabasco Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • salad (to garnish)
  • 3 slices granary bread (toasted)

    Directions

    1. Place all ingredients apart from the salad and bread in a liquidiser or food processor and blend together to reach the texture you prefer.
    2. Serve with the salad garnish and granary toast.

    I liked this recipe. I made some adjustments according to ingredients I had at home. I used butter instead of Flora pro activ, fresh chives instead of parsley and omitted the Tabasco. The consistency was great for sandwiches and by using butter it would firm a little in the fridge. I made a double mixture and froze half to use later.
