  • 1 lb. sweet and/or hot Italian sausage links, diagonally sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 green bell pepper (large, and/or red bell peppers, sliced)
  • 1 onions (large, thinly sliced)
  • 1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 jar (1 lb. 8 oz.) Ragu® Old World Style® Pasta Sauce

    Directions

    1. Brown sausage in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, about 5 minutes. Remove sausage from skillet and set aside.
    2. Heat olive oil in same skillet over medium-high heat and cook green peppers, onion and garlic, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
    3. Stir in Pasta Sauce and bring to a boil. Return sausage to skillet. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until sausage is done and vegetables are tender. Serve, if desired, with crusty Italian bread.

    I add red, green and yellow bell peppers for color and flavor and I also used linguine noodles. This was very a good meal.
