Not the best carnitas I've ever eaten, but exceptionally good for the amount of work that goes in. I can't wait to see how it reheat from the frozen leftovers.

My family loves it! I use this recipe in my Dutch oven every time. I add a cup of chicken stock, smoked paprika and sweet paprika. Comes out perfect very time. Most and falls apart easily with the pork.

Cooked three 5-lb pork loins and multiplied recipe by 3 (roughly -- multiplied jalapenos by six). Oranges were expensive, so bought a small bottle of juice instead. Put onion, jalapeno & garlic paste in food processor, so that veggies will be very small (invisible?) at serving time. Cooking in oven now ... will let you know! Well -- they were fabulous! Jason cut up the meat when it came out of the oven. It mostly went into nice cubes, but shredded a little. After sitting on Sterno for 5 hours, it was a little dry, but we still have one jar of the juice set aside to use with the leftovers. For Davis Cup Mexican Night 8/29/15
