Pan Fried Garlic Brussel Sprouts with Walnuts & Cranberries

Description

A must for those who aren't fond sprouts, but get pressured in to cooking them every year! Even better if you're limited on oven space and can't roast them.

Ingredients

US|METRIC
  • 500 grams brussel sprouts (washed, outer leaves removed, de-stemmed, & halved)
  • 3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 125 grams walnuts (Quartered)
  • 60 grams dried cranberries
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons oil (Sunflower, Rapeseed, or Light Olive)
  • 2 pinches salt

    Directions

    1. Heat all the oil in large frying pan over a med-high heat. Add the sprouts and fry for 3 minutes, or starting to go golden on the outside.
    2. Whilst the sprouts are cooking, toast of the walnuts in another frying pan, on a high heat, for about 30 seconds to a minute, then set aside.
    3. Add the garlic and salt to the now-golden sprouts and fry for another 2 minutes.
