Deep, dark, chewy, and fudgy, these are the very best brownies you'll ever eat. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.


  • nonstick cooking spray
  • 1/3 cup butter (75 g)
  • 1 1/4 cups bittersweet chocolate chips (60-70% cacao, for batter)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200 g)
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar (50 g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (90 g)
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder (24 g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/3 cups chocolate chips

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
    2. Spray an 8-inch square aluminum pan with nonstick cooking spray.
    3. Place the butter and chocolate in a large microwave-safe mixing bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted.

    It was amazing, fudgy, and chocolatey! I had to bake it for a bit longer, though, and substituted bittersweet chocolate for semi-sweet chocolate chips. So good!!

    Nice and easy, but needs to be in the oven for slightly longer as the middle didn't cook through. My batter also turned out less thick than in the video, but turned out fine!

    So far, this is the best recipe I ever encountered. Hubby like chewy brownies and this one have them. And I like more dry and hard brownies and what do you know, the edges are dry and hard. Also I added walnut because we like walnut
