  • 2 cups lentils
  • 1 small potato
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 onion (large)
  • 1 celery stick
  • pepper flakes (crushed chilly)
  • 2 teaspoons pepper (paste)
  • 1/2 tomato paste (a teaspoon of)
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable stock
  • 1 pinch black pepper

    Directions

    1. Start by washing the lentils with warm water until the water becomes clear. Then let the lentils soak for 10-15 minutes.
    2. Cut the potato into small cubes and grate the carrots. Fill a large pot with water and add the lentils, potatoes and carrots and boil for 20-30 minutes.
    3. Cut the onion and celery into small pieces. Then add them to a small pot with a few splashes of olive oil and let it fry for a few minutes.
