I absolutely love this recipe! I did cut the sugar in half like other people said. I turn mine into a bowl with sautéed mushrooms and steamed broccoli. Yummy!

This has to be theeee most ridiculous recipe ever!!! 840 calories???? no meat protein???? sugar like crazy!!!! Buy a Big Mac...You'll be better off!
It was delicious, however I’m glad that I read others reviews first as even with a third of the sugar it was too sweet for me, I added some tamarind paste which balanced it nicely. Will make it again for sure.

Tasted really good. Didn't put as much sugar - not much of a sweet tooth. My husband liked it too, and this was a great way to cook a meal quickly while also getting a break from our usual home food.

Pretty tasty. I’d just cut back on the sugar a bit- It was sweeter than I would have liked. Also maybe put a number (8 ounces or whatever) on the tvp ingredient . Saying ‘a package’ isn’t helpful even if your are dealing with something that most people would encounter (like ‘one package’ of instant yeast). Also don’t you need to reconstitute the tvp? Most people might not know that.

Turned out well. Not as “Asian” tasting as I would expect (though I’ve never had Korean beef in my life so nothing to compare it to) but still was a great quick meal to have when we don’t know what to make (which is every night lol). We had it with jasmine rice and added leftover stir fry veggies that we had in the fridge. My non vegan husband really liked it, and that is always a plus in my books!

Family loved it. Added a little more soy sauce and oil because I used soy curls.

Quick and easy meal! I used less sugar than instructed, and it was still pretty sweet.

Great, so easy and quick, made exactly as directed and loved it. Served with vegan cream cheese and the green onions in a soft taco—delicious!

Light and delicious! Instead of sugar I used hoisin sauce and made coconut rice with cilantro. I also added brocoli too! Miam!!!

Delicious. A little sweet. I will probably use less brown sugar next time. It was a hit with my son and his friends.

This is awesome, but it is rich and filling, so don't expect to eat much of it. Rather than serving it on rice, this dish would make an excellent filler for lettuce wraps.

Delish! But Inomly added about half the town sugar. Still savory sweet!

Delicious, it’s missing some bok choi though. I’ll be adding it to the dish next time.

Fantastic, we have this at least once a week. I also throw in some frozen broccoli and cauliflower at the end. Such a quick easy meal and the kids love it too.

This turned out great. I used the Trader Joe’s beefless ground beef. I did adjust the sauce recipe a bit based on another Korean beef recipe I’ve used in the past, but it was essentially the same, just with slightly less brown sugar and ground ginger instead of fresh. I also added broccoli just to add another veggie. Overall a really good vegetarian meal.

I skipped the sesame seeds, I hate them! This was super delicious! Super easy to prepare, and very filling! It can even go well in lettuce wraps or corn tortillas to make Korean tacos!
