  • 2 tomatoes (cut into 8 slices)
  • 1 Tbsp. canola oil

  • 8 slices day old bread (white sandwich bread, 1/2-inch-thick slices)
  • 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter (cut into pieces, for sandwiches)
  • 2 lb. turkey breast (1/4-inch-thick slices)
  • 1 1/2 sharp white cheddar cheese (shredded, or white cheddar slices)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

    Directions

    1. Sauce: In a small saucepan, bring milk to simmer.
    2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Add flour and whisk for one minute over medium heat.
    3. Whisk in hot milk and bring to a boil. Cook until thickened while continuing to whisk for 5 minutes.
