The recipe is like the bones of something good. Its pretty basic and flavorless if you were to follow to the T. It gets 5 stars because it inspired me to make something flavorful when im running low on food supplies during this coronavirus madness. I added 2 garlic cloves chopped finely, a little or a lot onion you do you, sautee before you add in the beef. Add salt, pepper, basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder and onion powder to taste. We barely had any pasta sauce so i used about a 1/4 cup, and a scoop of tomato paste. I couldnt do that fancy stuff, wrapping it up so i just laid the unrolled crossaint on top and sprinkled rosemary and thyme, towards the end adding some cheese. Gotta ration. still tasted amazing even with a little cheese.

i used a rectangular pan instead of a round one, and found you'll need more crescent dough for that. but tasted amazing!

Recipe uses "prepared pasta sauce" as the source of all flavoring which will result in an extremely bland recipe. Best advice from me is to use the idea but make it your own building that flavor profile instead of using random pasta sauce. Use spices, salt and pepper, use fresh basil, simmer the meat long enough to bring to bring up flavor, use beef stock or melt 1 or 2 anchovies and make a tomato sauce. If you season the meat properly, it should be pretty go after final assembly.

A little bland. My family seemed to enjoy, but I thought it tasted like lots of other things I've had before.

This was amazing! I had to make it twice because the portions are a bit small, but I prepped in advance so it wasn’t an issue. The crescent makes it soft and the flavors are awesome!

I really liked this! I sauteed garlic and onions first and then added the beef and went from there. I also added a little italian seasoning for extra flavour. My husband and kids liked it too (I know because everyone cleared their plates)! I like how quick and easy it was to make. It says to bake for 20-25 minutes. I baked it for 25 minutes and it came out perfect!

pretty good. def needs more ingredients. I used the other review's idea of onions and bell peppers. a half of each. but the boy ate it, and he is terribly finicky.
