- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs (I don’t recommend chicken breasts, as they tend to dry out)
- 1/2 cup coconut aminos
- 3 tablespoons honey (or use 3 large, pitted Medjool dates to make this recipe Whole30 compliant – see instructions below)
- 4 cloves garlic (fresh, minced)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh ginger (minced)
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (optional)

It was ok. I felt like something was missing. It needed salt, so maybe next time I will do half soy sauce and half coco aminos. I added broccoli for more texture and that was good but still felt like it needed more. I will consider making again.

I felt the sauce was a little too overpowering

I forgot to add the salt from the beginning. I added it later and it was too salty. I will cut the salt next time. Good recipe though and I will definitely make it again.

Chicken was great, It really fell apart once I took it out of the pot. However, I found the cook time to be a little too long. The sauce was definitely worth cooking. I Would cook it again.

So good my uber-picky child ate his entire share, no complaints! Needless to say, will make this again if he’s going to eat like that every time. The chicken was a little dry. As for a syrupy sauce, I had to leave it in the pan over heat for 10+ minutes to get it to syrupy. It was a very good sauce, though. And my first time cooking with coconut aminos. Couldn’t tell any difference.

it was great just extremely salty! Next time ill use low sodium soy sauce and no extra salt.

Great meal. Chicken was super tender. Cooked rice and broccoli while heating the sauce. I also had trouble with it thickening even after adding a bit of cornstarch/water.

Husband LOVED it. I didn’t do the extra step of simmering the sauce; instead I added some chopped kale for a splash of green 30-60 minutes before it was done.

ok so, coconut aminos seem to be like white rhinos. i was told by several people to use liquid aminos as a substitute. NOPE! Too salty. Good flavor though. Im saving the reduction in cubes for other dishes.

I think I messed up somewhere as it didnt turn out how i expected but it still had a great taste and the whole family enjoyed it. will definitely be making it again.

The taste was great except that I did one step wrong. I diced the chicken prior to cooking it, so the meat was a "tad” dry. Other than that, it was amazing ❤️ I’m definitely cooking this again.
