  • 6 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup flour (sifted)

    Directions

    1. Cream the butter and sugar together thoroughly.
    2. Add the egg yolk and vanilla, beat well. Stir in flour.
    3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Cutout hearts with a cookie cutter and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 15-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
    4. Decorate with frosting.
