A crowd-pleasing yet easy to prepare snack, this four-ingredient, sausage-filled puff pastry recipe is formed into a half-moon shape. Brushed with milk and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese, it bakes until browned and glistening. Ready in less than an hour, it's a welcome start to a cocktail party. Choose whatever sausages you like, from spicy Italian to mild bangers or potato sausage. As for the Parmesan, you can substitute most any hard cheese you have on hand.

  • 5 sausages

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
    2. Cut the sausage into links approximately 3 centimeters in length and place them on the sheet of dough, in the shape of a circle, 3 to 4 centimeters from the border.
    3. Fold the border onto the sausage.
    4. Make cuts into the dough as shown in the photograph. Leave half of the puff pastry dough in a semicircle and fold the other half toward the center in the shape of a fan or half moon.
    5. Brush the dough with the milk. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown.
