  • vegetable oil
  • 1 onion (peeled and sliced)
  • 1 garlic clove (peeled and minced)
  • 250 grams porcini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 5 ounces white wine
  • 8 ounces chicken stock
  • 4 fish steaks (thick hake, or pollock or cod)
  • salt
  • ground black pepper

    Directions

    1. Saute together the onion and garlic in a tablespoon of oil until transparent. Add the mushrooms.
    2. Cook for 4 to 6 minutes. Add the white wine and simmer until the alcohol has evaporated. Then, add the chicken stock and simmer 10 minutes on low heat.
    3. Salt and pepper the fish and add it to the same skillet.
    4. Cover and let simmer on low heat. When you see that the tops of the fish are cooked, remove the lid and serve.
