Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans (thin French-style, or fresh garden beans)
  • 1/2 sweet onion (small, cut into thin slivers, We used Vidalia onion.)
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
  • fresh basil (generous amount thinly-sliced, We used about 1/3 cup, but next time I’d use more if I had plenty of basil in the garden.)
  • salt
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (Use an oil with good flavor.)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh-squeezed, I used my fresh-frozen lemon juice.)
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic (finely)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

light snack or a delicious side. if u wanted to make it as a meal id suggest mozzarella and grilled chicken breast. add extra basil than what it says, trust me.
