  • 1/2 white onion (or red, to 1 chopped)

  • 1/2 green cabbage (red and half)

    Directions

    1. Season chicken and place in crockpot. Add onion and garlic cloves and salt and pepper. Fill crockpot 1/4-way with water, cover and cook on high 6 to 8 hours. The chicken should fall off of the bone.
    2. During the last hour of cooking the chicken, place cabbage in a large pot or pan with a shallow amount of water - 1/2 to 1 cup. Add two tablespoons of butter or margarine and sprinkle liberally with garlic salt and pepper. Cover and cook on medium-high heat for 20 to 30 minutes.
    3. Once chicken and cabbage are done, place some cabbage in a bowl and top with chicken and some of the chicken broth. Talk about yummy. You can alter any of the seasonings and the butter or margarine to your satisfaction.
