  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup quick rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon mushroom (flavouring)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic (diced finely)
  • 2 tablespoons green onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh coriander (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup ground almond (powder)
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour
  • salt (to taste and optional)

    Directions

    1. Mix water with TVP and soy sauce. Give a quick stir and let sit for 20 minutes.
    2. In a separate bowl, mix rolled oats with hot water, let sit for 5 minutes. Move into TVP bowl. Set aside.
    3. Add mushroom flavouring, black pepper, garlic, onion, coriander, ground almond powder, and corn flour (also salt if using) to the TVP mix. Using your hand, mix very well and bring to a ball.
