I’ve tried to make bread before and not been successful. This recipe was easy to follow and the end result was impressive and tasted great definitely worth a go.

I’m shocked at how well this turned out I had my doubts sinc what dough was very wet but I didn’t add extra flour baked 30 mins then put butter on top to make it crisp and baked for another ten mins

This turned out amazing! This is definitely going on my list to make again. I considered coating the loaf with oil before baking, but decided not to, since this recipe didn’t call for that. The bread was light & fluffy with just the right amount of crustiness (not too crunchy).
I didn’t have fast acting yeast, so I just dissolved 1/2tsp of sugar into about half of the warm water, then sprinkled in the 1tsp of active dry yeast, letting it sit and bubble while I weighed and sifted the 400g of bread flour. Then I mixed the salt with the flour and finally added the yeasty water and remaining warm water to the flour bowl. Everything else I followed per the instructions.

I found this recipe to be simple to follow for someone who is new to bread baking like myself. Plan on a few hours to make this, but it's well worth the wait.

Fantastic Recepie.
First time I was making bread by myself, and the result is fantastic...
Rather than round shape - I chose traditional longer one - and lesson for future go easy on oil during kneading.
overall - happy with result, will do again !!!

Great. Dead easy. Bread is not my forte but I followed the recipe to the letter and it has come out beautifully.
