The sweet and spicy flavors of this dish echo Korean fried chicken wings, but without the hassle of deep frying. Look for gochujang, a sweet and spicy Korean red pepper paste, in the International aisle of many grocery stores, at an Asian market, and online.   • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger (1/2 inch is 1 Tbsp. minced)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoons gochujang (sweet and spicy Korean red pepper paste; buy at grocery stores, Asian markets, and online)
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

    It was bomb. I didnt want it to be too spicy so I used 2 tablespoon of korean chili paste instead of 3. I didnt have seasoned rice vinegar so i used the regular rice vinegar and add a little less than 1 tablespoon of sugar and sprinkled about 1/4 teaspoon of salt. I ditched the sesame seeds.

    awesome recipe! my pepper paste was a lot more thick and very spicy so i added 1/4 cup more mirin and it was great for my meal prep :)

    I accidentally added too much ginger. Fixed it by adding a little coconut milk. Also added a tablespoon of peanut butter and a handful of crushed cashews. it was incredible! The whole family loved it, including our 14 month old.

    It was delicious... Subbed sake for mirin... Really easy... I combined the chicken, salt, corn starch and water...started my rice... Combined the ingredients for the sauce... When the rice was ten minutes out I started cooking... Will do again! ♥️🍚👍🏿

    It was pretty good! Especially the sauce. Only thing I did different was season my chicken and I used Apple Cider Vinegar instead of White Rice Vinegar (because I forgot to buy it 😅). It was a great substitute, just in case anyone was wondering. Most definitely will make it again!

    Best recipe I've made and eaten in a long time. Quick and simple to make. FANTASTIC flavor. The sauce for the chicken is a definite keeper. I will be making this again soon.

    This was an excellent recipe, easy to make. chicken was tender. I did reduce the amount of Korean spice paste. I used 2/3 of what the recipe called for and replaced it with ketchup. my family really loved it.

    It came out really good, I substituted mirin with rice vinegar and sugar because I didn't have any. It still turned out great, will make again
    Easy to follow, fantastic meal. Husband loved it. Definitely has a nice medium heat - not too overwhelming. Will become a meal I definitely will make again!

    Really tasty! I tried to follow the recipe but I didn't have almost anything for the sauce. I completely improvised with that part, but it still turned out really good!
