  • 1 1/4 chicken (lbs, 560 grams cut, I bought whole chicken and used half of it)
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper (Powder)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (my addition)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • butter (1 ½ – 2 tbsp. Niter Kibbeh ~ Spiced, I used clarified butter, can substitute it with cooking oil)
  • oil (2 tbsp.)
  • 1 large onion (medium –, about 1 cup when chopped)
  • ginger garlic paste (1 – 1 ½ tbsp.)
  • Berbere spice mix (1 ¼ tbsp.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (I substituted paprika with chili powder)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder (my addition)
  • 2 teaspoons tomato sauce
  • 2 large eggs (boiled and peeled)
  • 1 cup water
  • lime juice (to taste, I didn’t use)

    I tried this recipe. This is very delicious and amazing taste. it looks good and taste is also super good. I've also delicious recipes for you guys. if you want to try some different taste or if you're crispy and crunchy dish lover so try it once this flavored fried chicken. this is like a bomb taste.     Doro wat is one of the best Ethiopian food however, this recipe will need more detail info. You do need more than one onion, also you have to Cooke the sauce at list for half an hour before you add to much water or chicken. Paprika is not recommended at don’t need chilly. The Berbera has the best flavor and not too spicy!

    turned out super spicy, but added some sour cream to serve which helped. 😁
