    Are there any smoothies that are low in carbs? This sounds really good, but I am limiting myself to about 35 carbs a day. This recipe takes up 27 which doesn't leave me with many. Thank you in advance.

    Refreshing! I substituted about a teaspoon of honey for the dates and added matcha and some mint to cut the sweetness. Enjoy it with a slice of toast for a light breakfast.

    Never thought I’d be drinking something that had the whole lemon included but it was very good. I added ice and it made it cold and good!

    I reduce the amount of dates to 6 and insted of 1 1/2 cup of water I change with 1 cup of water and 1/2 coco water

    Per advise of peers, reduced the amount of dates to 5. Having never eaten a date, I did not know to remove the seeds. It destroyed my blender. ooops. Next morning I tried it again, it is extremely pulp-filled and I am not fond of the texture. Doesnt look as smooth as the picture maybe I am doing something wrong.

    Delicious. I added 1T of apple cider vinegar. I used 5 dates. Then pored over ice. Yummy!

    Taste wasn't right for me. I also didn't like that it was warm. If this tasted better, I would substitute some of the water for ice or use frozen pineapple.

    One date has 66 calories - this has 12 dates in it. Though its 4 servings the "100" calories per serving is very misleading.

    I was surprised at how great it tasted. I expected it to be bland. Maybe it's cause I eyeballed it but none the less I will be making it again.

    I tried Aadding bananas to make it smoother and it work really well for me. It wasn't as sweet as I expected, going to use couple days then change it up, it's all about veritie and taste that keep me going. Thanks Tom

    Perfectly put together!!!! Although I didn't add a cucumber...... Too risky! Just the pineapple, lemon and dates together are super refreshing!

    I really didn't enjoy the texture or the taste of this, it was overly sweet and very watery. The dates didn't blend well.

    Pretty tasty, lowered the date count though. Will definitely make this a staple, but want to find a way to add in greens without dramatically changing the flavour.

    Dates are too sweet, So I added prunes for dates. Only added 2 dates. A few times I added "Centella asiatica" (Asiatic pennywort) - greens to the smoothie. Now this is my breakfast for 3 days a week.

    Added fried pancetta to mine to take it in a savory direction. A little whiz on the Vitamix to break up the chunks a little but not too much (crunchy delights).
    First of I would like to say to soak the dates first so they don't kill your nutribullet and it also helps kill that chunkiness that people are talking about.... I soaked mine over night so I could enjoy this drink in the morning... I also added ice cubes.... It's yummy enjoy!

    After reading the comments, I added chia seeds, a tbl spoon honey and a couple shakes of cinnamon. My pineapples were not sweet and it was more green than yellow. The taste was presently delicious. This will be a staple recipe for me.

    After reading the comments, I added ice cubes, a shake of cinnamon and a teaspoon of Agave. My pineapples were sweet. Absolutely tasty. and satisfying. Will make again and again!
