Description
This is not your traditional cheesecake, but it is just as tasty. Using eggs and milk instead of cream cheese, this cake is lower in fat but equally delicious and creamy. You may need to cover the top with aluminum foil to maintain a good color on the top.
Ingredients
US|METRIC
- 4 eggs
- 1 liter milk
- 600 grams sugar
- 200 grams flour
- 200 grams margarine
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Grease a rectangular pan with margarine.
- Beat the eggs and sugar until whitish.
- Soften the margarine in the microwave and add. Beat again.
- Finally, alternately add the milk and the flour. When the mixture is homogeneous, pour into the pan, and bake for about 1 hour.
- If the cheesecake begins to blush too quickly, cover with a sheet of aluminum foil. Avoid opening the oven door before 40 minutes. Check the cooking with a toothpick. Remove from oven, and let cool in the pan.

It is possible to make cheesecake without cream cheese. I never would have thought about it until I saw this recipe. It comes out just as creamy with the same smooth taste you would expect with cheesecake. Follow the baking directions exactly, so the cake can bake thoroughly and evenly. Aluminum foil on top has always been necessary for me with my oven.
