  • 700 grams chicken breast (approx. 4 large chicken breasts, diced)
  • 4 cloves garlic (peeled and minced)
  • 1 piece ginger (about the size of your thumb, peeled and finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Garam Masala
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 240 milliliters water (chicken stock, plus a stock cube or bouillon for gluten free is fine)
  • 400 milliliters chopped tomatoes (tins of)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree (Tomato Paste for US)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 6 cardamom pods (sew them together with a piece of string so you can easily fish them out later)
  • 175 milliliters heavy cream (double/)
  • 1 handful chopped coriander (to serve)

    Really liked the flavor of the sauce. The chicken was a bit dry, I used chicken breasts as that’s what I had. I will try it next time with thighs, I’m sure it will be awesome
