  • 500 grams pork tenderloin (chopped into bite size chunks)
  • 1 brown onion (peeled and chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (peeled and crushed)
  • 250 milliliters cider
  • 400 milliliters chicken stock (using stock cubes or powder is fine)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 75 milliliters double cream
  • 2 apples (crisp dessert, sliced into wedges, not too thin or they'll disintegrate - I use Jazz apples)
  • 4 tablespoons frozen peas
  • crumble topping
  • 400 grams potatoes (chopped into bite sized chunks - skins left on, red skinned or Maris pipers are good varieties for this)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 100 grams panko (or homemade breadcrumbs)
  • 100 grams mature cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 1 pinch salt (and pepper)
