Yummy - surprised me and the family. This is now a part of my dinner options.

Wow. That’s all. Wow.

Absolutely fantastic! Chicken marinade. I'm more of a traditionalist and did not use the tzatziki sauce but instead opted to make my own toum (garlic sauce). We have very lousy shawarma restaurants around us. This recipe is comparable to the excellent shawarma we get on vacation in big cities.

Really good marinade, even without the lemon juice. Used a store-bought hummus instead of making it.

Really great marinade recipe that I'll use again when I make shawarma. We've used a lot of different marinades when making kebabs, and this one was very good. Nice combination of flavors overall. For topping, we cut up fresh cherry tomatoes, cilantro, marinated olives/pepperchinos and arugula all mixed up and poured on top. Very flavorful, fresh, and satisfying!

This was fantastic. Mostly because I had leftover cooked chicken in the fridge and a store-bought tub of hummus. But it was very flavourful, easy to put together, and quick to make. It looked much fancier than the effort that was put in. I added some pickled turnip I had made to give it that extra shawarma-y flavour.

The recipe itself would be rated high BUT I was disappointed that the "draw" was fast weeknight supper, using pre-cooked / leftover chicken, but it linked to a recipe that takes 45 minutes prep time and uses raw chicken thighs that takes many cooks even more time to slice than you indicate. Also you should mention that the Shwarma is only good served ASAP, never try to make in advance or serve leftover. That being said, I make Hummus very often... and I like this recipe, so I will tweak mine to include more lemon juice.
