I followed the recipe and it was ok but I found it was a bit overpowered with the spices. The next time I cooked the onions first then added the blended garlic, ginger and chilli. I halved the spice amounts erring towards heavy handedness on the cumin and coriander. I used 1/2 tin tomatoes supplemented with 4 small fresh tomatoes. It was much more subtle and had a wonderfully fresh tomato flavour as i added the fresh tomatoes later in the process. A really good base for a bit of experimenting. Try it and adapt it to your liking.

I really enjoyed making this curry and it was delicious. Unfortunately, the kids wouldn't eat it so I won't make it again.
