  • 4 cups diced apples ({I used a mixture of Granny Smith and Pink Lady})
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice ({I used bottled})
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 box pectin
  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon unsalted butter

    It turned out fantastic!!!!!! I didn't use the pectin (personal choice), I used cornflour instead. I just added a bit at a time ( dissolved in water) until I got the consistency I wanted. Can't wait to make an apple pie!!!

    I doubled the spices and OMG.... Yummy! My daughter loved it so much, she had to make some for herself... doubling the spices as well.
