Excellent. A similar recipe using tomato rice soup was a staple growing up that I continued to use with my family, minus the heavy cream. When it came time to add the cream, initially, I was reluctant. However, I took the leap of faith and indeed it was a near magical moment. Certainly made a difference. Long before the internet, my cajun cooking mentor was Justin Wilson on PBS tv and his "holy trinity " of cajun cuisine included celery which is, in my opinion,is a necessary add. I also encourage to add the garlic before the tomatoes for a better release of flavor, but be quick stirring it in (certainly not more than a minute) ,your nose will let you know!
