15-Minute Baked Salmon with Lemon

Sabrina Braddy: "Super quick and easy with a great flavor." Read More

Fifteen minutes, and some salt, pepper, and lemon are all that's needed for perfectly cooked simple salmon fillets. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.

  • 4 salmon fillets (Atlantic, 5 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • black pepper
  • 1 lemon (large)

    1. Preheat the oven to 400° F.
    2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    3. Rinse the salmon filets under cool water. Gently pat them dry with paper towels, then place on the baking sheet, skin side down.

we did it in an air fryer, which is more like baking than frying, and it turned out fine. a little dry, but I cooked it a tad too long. Good otherwise.

Its alright but overall quick and easy
Easy! Delicious! It would have been a fifty dollar meal at a restaurant but only cost me fifteen! Cooking time was double, though, because I used one large cut rather than fillets, but try it tonight!

Mine took about 20-25 minutes to bake. Everyone loved it and no one complained. The fish texture turned out flaky and perfect but the flavor wasn't quite what I was expecting. I ended up adding some Old Bay to my piece. I'll definitely make it again though. It was super easy to prep and bake.

This recipe really allows the flavor of the salmon to shine through and is so simple. I have always been timid about cooking fish and this turns out perfect each time I make it.
